What this site knows about you.

effective 22 October 2026

This is my CV, not a product. It collects very little about you, and this page sets out exactly what it does collect and why.

Who runs it

I do: Lee Goodenough, in Luton, UK. For anything personal that passes through this site I am the data controller under the UK GDPR, and the way to reach me is lee@leegoodenough.com.

When you visit a page

Vercel hosts the site. Like any host it keeps standard server logs for each request: your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and when. Vercel holds those for a short time to run and secure the service. I use them in aggregate, not to look at individual visitors.

Vercel's Web Analytics counts page views and tells me which pages are read and where visitors arrive from. It sets no cookies. To tell one visitor from another within a day it uses a hash of your IP address and browser type, which is discarded after the day. Speed Insights, also from Vercel, measures how quickly pages loaded and responded for you, in the same cookie-free way. Both show me aggregate figures, not people.

The two typefaces, Inter and JetBrains Mono, load from Google Fonts, so your browser fetches them from Google's servers, which see your IP address in the process. Google's privacy policy covers that request.

That is it. No advertising, no tracking pixels, and the site sets no cookies.

The talk deck form

The deck on the Customer First, Every Day page opens after you leave an email address; a name is optional. Both are emailed to me, with Resend handling the delivery, and are stored nowhere else. I use them to see who is interested in the talk, and that is all: no list, no newsletter, no sequence. I only get in touch if you ask me to.

The legal basis is my legitimate interest in knowing who is reading, weighed against the small amount you share. You can object, or ask me to delete your entry, at any time.

Once the deck is open, your browser stores a single flag in its local storage so you are not asked again. It lives only on your device, and clearing the site's data removes it.

If you email me

Email to lee@leegoodenough.com is handled by Microsoft 365. I keep correspondence the way anyone keeps work email: for as long as it is useful, then it goes.

Links to other sites

LinkedIn, crm.care, flowolf.ai and my OpenAI certifications page on Accredible are separate sites with their own privacy policies. Nothing from here is passed to them when you click.

Your rights

You can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to my using it. Email me and I will answer within a month, usually much faster; for most people the honest answer is that there is nothing to return. If you are unhappy with how I have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes

If the site starts doing something new with your data, this page changes first and the date at the top moves with it.
